What to expect

TOUR ROUTE: Start in San José. Visit Arenal Volcano and Monteverde. End in San José.

TOUR ITINERARY: San Jose (2 days):

Meet and greet at San José Airport for transfer to a 3-star hotel in the capital city.
Spend the rest of your day at leisure relaxing at the hotel or exploring the vibrant people and places in San José.

AIRFARE: Roundtrip economy airfare from Miami or Port of Spain including 1 checked luggage + 1 carry-on luggage + 1 personal item. TRIP TIP: Try to carry 1 suitcase & 1 personal item only.
ACCOMMODATION: 3-star hotels in San José, Arenal and Monteverde.
MEALS: Daily breakfast at hotel. 1 lunch and 1 dinner.
TRANSPORTATION: Air-conditioned car or minivan for tours and roundtrip airport transfer.

What to expect

TOUR ITINERARY: WHITE WATER RAFTING & ARENAL VOLCANO (2 days):

Start your day with a scenic drive to Siquirres for a delicious local breakfast of 'gallo pinto'.
After a safety briefing, join an expert guide for a white water rafting adventure. Enjoy the stunning scenery and waterfalls while riding the moderate rapids with your guide, then stop for a tasty picnic lunch on the river bank.
Transfer to the Arenal Volcano area and check-in to a 3-star hotel to relax for the evening.
Option to visit the charming nearby town of La Fortuna to explore on your own time.
Guided nature walk (moderate hike) to the natural hot springs near the volcano for a stimulating thermal bath.
Mingle with fellow travelers and locals over included dinner at a local restaurant.

WHAT IS THE COST FOR THIS PACKAGE? (airfare, hotel & tours) The cost per person - 2 per room - is US $2,105 from Miami, or US $2,465 from Port-of-Spain with flexible payment options. A single room will cost an additional US $620. Late bookings or travel during holidays may change the final price. IS THERE A PAYMENT PLAN? Yes, a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is payable in full at least 1 month before departure. Some packages require a different payment schedule that will be indicated on the booking page. CAN I DEPART FROM A DIFFERENT CITY? Yes, but this change will affect the price of your package. Contact us for pricing from your preferred city of departure. DO I NEED A VISA? TOUR ITINERARY: CLOUD FOREST & HORSEBACK RIDING (2 days):

Taxi boat ride across the picturesque Arenal Lake to the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
Explore the rare and diverse flora and fauna of the famous Cloud Forest with a 'walk in the clouds' across the hanging bridges.
Thrilling zip line ride over the forest canopy of trees, and a fun tarzan swing.
Ride gentle horses while visiting a coffee plantation to learn about Costa Rica's world-famous coffee.
Transfer back to civilization in San José and check in to a 3-star hotel before departure the next day.

Arenal Volcano: Arenal is an adventure hub with a picture-perfect volcano. Hike through lush forests, relax in hot springs, and feel the thrill of white-water rafting. Don’t miss the chance to zip-line with the volcano as your backdrop.

Monteverde Cloud Forest: Experience the magic of Monteverde’s cloud forest. Walk the misty trails, explore the butterfly gardens, and keep an eye out for the elusive quetzal bird. The canopy tours here are legendary.

Best Time to Visit:

Costa Rica is a year-round destination, but the best time to visit is during the dry season from December to April. This is the perfect time for beach days and outdoor adventures, with average temperatures ranging from 27°C to 32°C (81°F to 90°F). The rainy season, from May to November, brings lush, green landscapes and occasional showers, ideal for nature enthusiasts who don’t mind a bit of rain. During this period, temperatures generally hover around 24°C to 29°C (75°F to 84°F).
